Thatchers Hotel in Guildford is seeking a proactive Night Team Leader to manage hotel operations overnight. You will be the main point of contact for guests and team members while ensuring safety, security, and smooth night procedures, including audits and handovers to the day team.

The role focuses on supervising the night team, maintaining high standards in reception, reporting, and incident handling, with opportunities for development within a supportive hospitality group.

Qualifications

• Leading the hotel operation throughout the night, acting as the main point of contact for guests and team members.
• Ensuring the safety, security and wellbeing of guests, colleagues and hotel property at all times.
• Supervising and supporting the night team, ensuring all nightly duties are completed to a high standard.
• Overseeing reception operations, including guest check-ins and check-outs, handling enquiries and resolving any guest concerns professionally and efficiently.
• Completing night audit procedures and preparing reports for the management team.

Responsibilities

• Attending to incidents during the night and acting as key contact for emergency services attendance.
• Ensuring public areas are presented to a high standard and reporting housekeeping/maintenance issues.
• Coordinating breakfast and early morning preparations for a smooth handover to the day team.
• Supporting operational departments to deliver an exceptional guest experience.

Thatchers Hotel is a charming Tudor-style property set in the heart of the Surrey countryside. Featuring 87 guest rooms, two meeting and function rooms, and a newly refurbished bar and restaurant.

Experience and skills for our Night Team Leader role:

• Leading the hotel operation throughout the night, acting as the main point of contact for guests and team members.
• Ensuring the safety, security and wellbeing of guests, colleagues and hotel property at all times.
• Conducting regular security, fire safety and property checks, maintaining a safe and secure environment.
• Supervising and supporting the night team, ensuring all nightly duties are completed to a high standard.
• Overseeing reception operations, including guest check-ins and check-outs, handling enquiries and resolving any guest concerns professionally and efficiently.
• Completing night audit procedures and preparing reports for the management team.
• Attending to any incidents that occur during the night and acting as the key contact in the event of emergency services attendance.
• Ensuring all public areas are presented to a high standard and that housekeeping and maintenance issues are reported appropriately.
• Coordinating breakfast and early morning preparations to ensure a smooth handover to the day team.
• Supporting operational departments as required to deliver an exceptional guest experience.
