Job summary

CareTech is recruiting Support Workers for Milbourne Road in Bury to support adults with learning disabilities, autism and mental health needs. You will provide person-centred support and help individuals build life skills and independence in a safe, supportive environment.

The role is permanent, full-time (37.5 hours per week) on a rota. DBS is required and paid for by CareTech; travel to community activities is part of the role, with training and progression opportunities available.

Qualifications

• Ability to work unsociable hours on a rota basis.
• Enhanced DBS required (paid for by CareTech).
• Good communication skills; basic IT and written abilities.
• Drivers desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Deliver person-centred support in line with individual support plans.
• Assist with daily living skills and personal care where required.
• Promote independence, dignity, and wellbeing.
• Support activities, appointments, and community access.
• Maintain accurate records and work effectively as part of a team.
• Work a rota including evenings, weekends, bank holidays, and sleep-ins.
