Job summary

CareTech is seeking a male Support Worker in Huddersfield on a permanent full-time basis (37.5 hours per week). The role includes day shifts and waking night shifts, with DBS clearance funded by CareTech.

The service focuses on helping adults with learning disabilities, autism, and mental health needs to lead independent lives. The role requires building relationships, enabling daily living skills, and promoting wellbeing within a person-centred approach.

Responsibilities

• Building positive, trusting relationships
• Supporting people with daily living and personal goals
• Encouraging independence and choice
• Supporting individuals to access activities they enjoy
• Working in line with Positive Behaviour Support (PBS)
• Supporting with health needs and medication (full training provided)
• Deliver person-centred support in line with individual support plans
• Assist with daily living skills and personal care where required
• Promote independence, dignity, and wellbeing
• Support activities, appointments, and community access
• Maintain accurate records and work effectively as part of a team
• Work on a rota
