Job summary

Cygnet Healthcare is looking for an experienced Night Support Worker to join our team at Glyn House, providing focused care to people with autism, learning disabilities and complex behavioural needs.

You will work 42 hours per week on night shifts, delivering physical and emotional support, safeguarding residents and promoting independence in a calm, supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year experience in a support setting with learning disabilities and mental health.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Caring, understanding and energetic to provide a stimulating environment.
• Passionate about empowering service users and promoting independence.

Responsibilities

• Offer enhanced care with a flexible learning approach for all the people in our care.
• Provide guidance and encouragement through physical and emotional support.
• Learn about individuals’ specific needs and provide help in the most appropriate way.
• Assist with medical and welfare needs.
• Report on medical and welfare needs as required.
• Safeguard all patients.
• Maintain a safe, clean environment for all.

Cygnet Healthcare is looking for an experienced Night Support Worker to join our team working at Cygnet Glyn House.

You’ll be working 42 hours a week (night shifts only, 12.25 hours), making a positive difference to the lives of the people in our care at Glyn House.

Glyn House supports people with autism, learning disabilities and complex behavioural support needs. We provide specialist care and support which is tailored to individual needs, promoting independence and community integration.

We are looking for someone who is:

• Driven with a desire to make a real difference in people’s lives
• Experienced for 1 year plus in a support setting working with learning disabilities and mental health
• An excellent communicator and a good team player
• Caring and understanding with the energy required to provide a trusting, stimulating & varied environment
• Passionate about empowering & supporting service user independence

Your day-to-day…
