Job summary

Caring for Communities and People (CCP) seeks dedicated Night Support Workers for a new service in Wiltshire. You will support unaccompanied asylum-seeking children and care-experienced young people, providing safe, trauma-informed care and practical assistance during night shifts.

  • Experience or willingness to work with Unaccompanied Asylum Seeking Children and Care Experienced young people.
  • Trauma-informed approach when supporting vulnerable young people.

Responsibilities

  • Assist Management Team with oversight of homes and safety.
  • Be a role model to the young people and uphold high standards.
  • Provide trauma-informed support across varied tasks including moving in, safety planning, and helping with training opportunities.
  • Support with independent living skills and refugee status processes as needed.

Are you an experienced support worker or looking to begin a career in supporting young people in a brand-new service commissioned, support to Unaccompanied Asylum Seeking Children, and Care Experienced young people in Wiltshire.

We are looking for Night Support Workers to join a new service in full-time, part-time and bank positions. Applications from everyone are welcome, including those with lived experience, care experience or refugees with Leave to Remain.

  • You will assist the Management Team with the oversight of homes, leading on support and safety.
  • You will be a role model to the young people, continually pushing for the highest standards.
  • Your support will be trauma-informed. You will understand people's backgrounds and champion diversity and inclusion.
  • There is so much variety. You could be helping someone move and settle into their new home, safety planning to reduce harm, helping someone secure their desired job or secure the place on the training course they have aspired to, support with independent living skills, and obtain refugee status.
  • To be successful in this role, you'll need to be patient, kind, resilient, professional, with a calm and caring approach. Due to the location of the properties, you will need a full UK driving licence and your own vehicle., the years, we've consistently made tangible impacts in communities across Gloucestershire, Worcestershire, Herefordshire, South Gloucestershire, Bristol, Wiltshire, Dorset, and Devon.
