Job summary

ASDA in Harrogate is seeking a Night Manager to lead the night team, ensuring stock availability, safety and compliance while the store operates overnight.

You will drive trading activity on the night shift, coach colleagues, and push continuous improvement in service, efficiency and presentation. This role requires resilience, strong customer focus and the ability to adapt to a 4 nights on 7 rota.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising or managing teams in a retail grocery environment, ideally overnight.
• Ability to make decisions independently with a hands-on attitude and a drive to improve processes and people.

Responsibilities

• Drive strategy into action: plan and execute all trading activity on the night shift, ensure stock rotation and waste control.
• Lead and coach night colleagues and team leaders to maintain high shopfloor standards and sell with service.
• Ensure the shopfloor is ready and presentable for the day team, with promotions and hot spots ready for trade.
• Develop talent by listening, building resilience and encouraging ownership and progression.
