Job summary

John Lewis Partnership's Waitrose shop is hiring a Team Leader to help deliver excellent Partner-led service and food passion to customers. You will support the shop management, drive sales and maintain high standards across operations.

Full-time role, 37.5 hours per week, Tue-Sat 22:00-06:15. DBS checks may be required; flexible working options are available to support work-life balance.

Qualifications

• Good people and leadership skills.
• Experience in retail and understanding of commercial priorities.
• Experience of working in a customer facing role.
• Strong stakeholder management when working with third parties.

Responsibilities

• Supporting the shop's management team with managerial tasks.
• Ensuring Partners are operating safely and legally.
• Fulfilling online orders for drivers to deliver.
• Stock replenishment and shelf presentation.
• Working with the wider shop team including checkout support and Click & Collect.
• Drive commercial performance and provide ideas for improvement.
• Wastage reduction through due diligence and markdowns.
• Maintain a safe and tidy working environment.
