Job summary
GXO Logistics, Inc at the Diageo site in Runcorn is seeking a dedicated and safety-focused Shunter Driver to move trailers across the site and support production and distribution. This full-time role operates on a 4 on 4 off pattern with 12-hour night shifts from 19:00 to 07:00, with occasional day shifts as needed.
The position offers an annual salary of £39,809.68 (including shift allowance), holiday pay, a workplace pension, and access to GXO benefits, training through GXO University, and
Qualifications
- Full UK driving license with Category C+E entitlement.
- Driver CPC qualification and Digital Tachograph Card.
- Strong commitment to safety and regulatory compliance.
- Experience with Terberg shunt units.
Responsibilities
- Shunting trailers across the site, including trailers for keg loading, small pack loading at the end of line and between the Diageo packaging plant and the Kammac and DHL sites.
- Coupling and uncoupling trailers using Terberg shunt units.
- Supporting production operations by shunting Diageo tankers and trailers for glass and cans.
- Maintaining trailer supply for keg and THT operations in line with operational needs.
- Completing trailer checks, including keg counts, trailer census at shift start and configuration sheets to ensure accuracy before dispatch.
