Job summary

Our client in Newton Aycliffe is seeking a Welder to work permanent night shift on a 4 x 10.5-hour pattern (8pm–7am, Mon–Thu). This is a temp-to-perm role following a probation period. You will perform fillet, butt and multi-run welds on up to 50mm plate, reading drawings and complying with safety standards.

Qualifications

• Time served MIG welder with structural welding experience.
• Coded welder preferred; welds will be sent to gain coding.
• Accurate workmanship and high-quality welding.
• Quality checking of work.
• Abiding by H&S and operating overhead cranes.

Responsibilities

• Perform fillet, butt and multi-run welds on structural steel.
• Weld thick plate steel up to 50mm.
• Operate a stud welder.
• Read and comply with engineering drawings.
