Job summary

ao.com is seeking a proactive Team Leader to steer a busy warehouse. You will allocate tasks, monitor performance, and ensure compliance while supporting your team to deliver excellent customer service.

In this hands-on role you’ll manage safety, stock integrity, and shift transitions, reporting issues promptly and guiding welfare and development discussions for staff. Strong logistics knowledge is essential.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of warehouse operations, logistics, and systems.
• Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment.
• Ability to lead and motivate teams while managing fluctuating workloads.
• Confident decision-making with a fair and consistent approach.

Responsibilities

• Allocate daily tasks and monitor progress to ensure targets are met.
• Complete accurate incident reporting and maintain compliance standards.
• Provide administrative support for stock management and operational updates.
• Investigate and resolve stock, equipment, and operational issues promptly.
• Oversee housekeeping and safety standards across your area of the warehouse.
• Report maintenance needs and escalate equipment issues when required.
• Deliver daily team briefings and compile handovers for smooth shift transitions.
• Recognise and reward team contributions to keep morale high.
• Support welfare processes and employee development through documented discussions.
• Conduct low-level investigations and first-stage absence reviews.
• Carry out Health & Safety walkarounds and maintain safe MHE practices.
