Job summary

Bis Henderson Recruitment is seeking a Warehouse/Production Shift Supervisor for Coventry, working a night 6pm–6am pattern on a 3-on, 3-off rotation. The role oversees a team of up to 20, ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant warehouse operations with a focus on stock control and timely shipping/receiving.

You will lead and develop the night shift, maintain high safety and quality standards, report on performance, and drive continuous improvement in productivity and costs.

Qualifications

• Proven operational leadership experience in fast-paced environments (FMCG/logistics/production).
• Strong people and performance management skills.
• Experience working in shift-based operations.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to lead from the front and develop a team.

Responsibilities

• Take full responsibility for site operation during night shift.
• Lead and develop a team of up to 20 (employees and agency workers).
• Plan and organise labour to meet operational requirements.
• Oversee shipping, stock movements and control.
• Manage vehicle servicing and wider site activities.
• Drive shift performance, productivity and quality.
• Complete shift reports and performance updates.
• Handle disciplinary and welfare matters for staff.
• Ensure Health, Safety, quality and environmental standards are maintained.
• Conduct safety and quality checks and briefings.
• Investigate and action on accidents and near misses.
