Job summary

Actio Recruitment are recruiting for a well-established precision engineering company in Wimborne, Dorset, to join their night shift team as a Mazak CNC Programmer Setter Operator (Turning).

You will programme, set and operate Mazak CNC turning centres, edit and optimise programmes, and conduct first-off inspections to ensure parts meet customer drawings and tight tolerances.

Qualifications

• Experience as CNC Programmer Setter Operator (Turning)
• Strong knowledge of Mazak machines and Mazatrol controls
• Ability to programme online at the machine
• Experience in a precision engineering environment

Responsibilities

• Programming, setting and operating Mazak CNC lathes using Mazatrol controls
• Editing, proving out and optimising programmes at the machine
• Producing first-off and in-process inspections
• Working from detailed engineering drawings
• Manufacturing components to tight tolerances and high-quality standards
• Using inspection equipment including micrometers, verniers and gauges
• Identifying opportunities to improve cycle times and machining processes
• Maintaining a safe, clean and organised work area
• Ensuring production targets and quality requirements are achieved

Actio Recruitment are recruiting on behalf of a well-established precision engineering company in Wimborne, Dorset, who are seeking an experienced Mazak CNC Programmer Setter Operator (Turning) to join their night shift team.

The Role

As a CNC Programmer Setter Operator, you will be responsible for programming, setting and operating Mazak CNC turning centres to manufacture precision-engineered components to customer specifications.

Key Responsibilities

• Programming, setting and operating Mazak CNC lathes using Mazatrol controls
• Editing, proving out and optimising programmes at the machine
• Producing first-off and in-process inspections
• Working from detailed engineering drawings
• Manufacturing components to tight tolerances and high-quality standards
• Using a range of inspection equipment including micrometers, verniers and gauges
• Identifying opportunities to improve cycle times and machining processes
• Maintaining a safe, clean and organised work area
• Ensuring production targets and quality requirements are achieved

Candidate Requirements

• Previous experience as a CNC Programmer Setter Operator (Turning)
• Strong knowledge of Mazak machines and Mazatrol controls
• Ability to programme online at the machine
• Experience working within a precision engineering environment
