Job summary

Workforce Staffing are recruiting a CNC Turner Setter Operator for the night shift in Ferndown. You will set and operate Mazak CNC turning centres, adjust tooling and offsets, and read engineering drawings to tight tolerances.

The role requires ensuring production efficiency with high quality, performing first-off and in-process inspection, and making minor programme edits as needed. Training and safety adherence are included.

Qualifications

• Experience setting and operating CNC turning machines.
• Experience with Mazak machines and controls is advantageous.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and work to tight tolerances.
• Good understanding of turning processes, tooling and inspection equipment.
• CNC programming experience is advantageous but not essential; Mazak programming course provided.

CNC Turner Setter Operator - Night Shift

Location: Ferndown
Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday-Thursday, 8:30pm-7:00am
Pay: £22.50-£23.50 per hour
Employment: Full-Time / Permanent

The Role

A well-established engineering business specialising in the manufacture of precision components for the Aerospace and Defence sectors is looking for an experienced CNC Setter Operator to join their night shift team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for setting and operating Mazak CNC turning machines, producing high-quality components to engineering drawings and specifications.

Key Responsibilities

• Set and operate Mazak CNC turning centres.
• Set tooling, workholding, offsets and machine parameters.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and tolerances.
• Run production efficiently while maintaining quality and accuracy.
