Job summary

Gi Group Holdings Recruitment Limited seeks a Night Shift Supervisor in Northampton to oversee production operations during the night shift, ensuring orders are completed on time and to specification.

The role is permanent, with night hours 20:00–04:00, Monday to Friday, a base salary around £36k plus £1.50ph shift allowance, onsite parking and holiday entitlement.

Qualifications

• Solid experience in Operations or Production management in a Manufacturing environment.
• Experience with robot welding machines.
• Experience with people management including coaching / mentoring, appraisal, training and capability/disciplinary procedures.
• Strong leadership skills.
• Capable of working under-pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, and AX.

Responsibilities

• Ensure works orders are completed and delivered on time to specifications.
• Ensure the teams KPIs and objectives are met.
• Operate the robot welding machine if errors or problems occur.
• Support the development of direct reports, acting as a mentor and supporting continuous improvement activities.
• Foster a quality culture throughout manufacturing by collaboration between departments and continuous improvement.
• Establish workflow policies to enhance speed and efficiency without compromising quality, product safety or integrity.
• Propose new methods and techniques to improve efficiency.
• Ensure plant operatives follow health and safety guidelines.

Salary: £36k + £1.50ph shift allowance

Location: Northampton

Duration: Permanent

Shift Pattern: Monday - Friday

Hours: Night Shift 20:00 - 04:00

Role of a Night Shift Supervisor

• Responsible for ensuring works orders are completed and delivered on time to specifications.
• Ensuring the teams KPIs and objectives are being met.
• Operating the robot welding machine if errors or problems occur
• Support the development of direct reports, by acting as a mentor and supporting continuous improvement activities.
• To ensure a quality culture throughout the manufacturing processes by actively facilitating collaboration between departments and continuous improvement.

• Proactively suggesting new methods and techniques to improve efficiency.
• Ensure those working in the plant operational areas follow the Company / industry standard health and safety guidelines
