Job summary

Executive Network Group is seeking an experienced Night Shift Production Manager for a large manufacturing site in Worcestershire. You will lead a night-shift team of shift managers and operatives, driving SQCDP reviews and continuous improvements.

The role requires a track record in fast-paced manufacturing, with Lean/CI experience, union environment exposure preferred, and strong leadership and communication skills. Permanent night shift Mon–Fri.

Qualifications

• Degree/HNC in engineering or technical discipline; ILM/ISOH training beneficial.
• Experience managing a large production facility across multiple shifts.
• Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing / Continuous Improvement tools.
• Experience in a union environment would be advantageous.
• Proven leadership: delegation, coaching, supporting while challenging norms.
• Strong communication and people-relations with direct reports.
• Available to work permanent night shift Monday–Friday.

Technical Network have been retained by a international manufacturing group who are looking to hire an experienced Night Shift Production Manager to join the team and help really drive major managerial change in their large manufacturing facility in Worcestershire.

Production Manager - Night Shift

Salary: up to £75,000

Location: Worcestershire (commutable from South West Birmingham, Redditch, Worcester, Droitwich, Kidderminster areas)

Key Responsibilities

Reporting into the Operations Director; you will be an effective leader of a large night shift based manufacturing team comprising of Shift Managers and skilled operatives.

• Oversee day-to-day operations using the SQCDP review & implement improvements where possible.
• Develop and grow your direct reports and the team around you to build a positive and nurturing environment.
• Implementation and review of Standard Operating Procedures/KPIs across your department
• Manage and mentor a diverse team, fostering engagement and professional growth.
• Driving a strong culture of Health & Safety on site.
• Leading and driving Continuous Improvement activities

Experience

Applications are sought from experienced Business Unit Managers, Shift Manager or Senior Production Manager who can demonstrate a proven track record in a fast pace manufacturing environment.

• Degree/ HNC level qualification ideally in an engineering or technical discipline. Professional management (ILM) and ISOH training would be beneficial
• Management of a large production facility operating over a number of shift rotations
• Able to adapt and apply to Lean Manufacturing / Continuous Improvement tools
• Exposure to a union environment would be advantageous
• Must be able to demonstrate leadership skills such a delegation, coaching & support whilst being able to challenge traditional behaviours and practices
• Strong communication skills is key; forging strong relationship with the your various direct reports
• Able to work a permanent night shift Monday through Friday
