Job summary

Waitrose (Jersey) Limited is looking for a Supermarket Assistant in St Helier. You will deliver Partner-led service and maintain strong product knowledge to help customers and support online orders for home delivery.

The role includes varied hours across seven days, a £15.07 per hour base rate, and a night premium for shifts 22:00–06:00. DBS/vetting may be required, with training and a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• Communication skills to enable you to work effectively as part of a team and with our customers.
• Experience of working in a customer facing role is welcomed.
• Up to date knowledge of food and drink trends is desirable.
• Flexible approach to ensure the support of the whole branch.

Responsibilities

• Stock replenishment - ensuring shelves are full and products are in the right place for customers.
• Fulfilling online customer orders ready for drivers to deliver to customers’ doors.
• Reducing wastage by following product due diligence and markdowns to items near sell by dates.
• Working with the wider shop team to support checkout, Click & Collect orders and on-demand customer orders.
• Maintaining a safe and tidy working environment with general shopkeeping tasks.
