Job summary

Waitrose (Guernsey) Limited is hiring a Supermarket Assistant at Rohais, St Peter Port. You’ll help customers with the Partner-led service and keep shelves stocked, while delivering the Waitrose experience.

This permanent role offers varied hours across seven days, with a night premium of £3.75 per hour for night shifts and a starting pay of £15.07 per hour. You’ll contribute to a friendly, customer-focused store environment.

Qualifications

• Communication skills to enable you to work effectively as part of a team and with our customers.
• Experience in a customer-facing role welcomed.
• Interest in food and drink trends.

Responsibilities

• Stock replenishment - ensuring shelves are full and products are in the right place.
• Fulfilling online customer orders ready for drivers to deliver to customers' doors.
• Reducing wastage by following product due diligence and markdowns to sell-by dates.
• Working with the wider shop team to support when needed including checkout support, Click & Collect, and on-demand orders.
• Maintain a safe and tidy working environment with general shopkeeping tasks.
