Job summary

Greencore Northampton is hiring for a permanent, full-time role with night shifts (Tue–Fri, 19:30–06:00) at Unit D, Greencore Northampton. The position offers a competitive hourly rate of £17.29 and full-time hours within a major UK food manufacturing operation.

The role focuses on operating and maintaining high-speed production machinery, maximizing output while ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency across a busy production line.

Qualifications

• Prior experience working with machinery.
• Strong knowledge of heavy duty and high-speed machinery.
• Strong ability to use measurement tools.
• Good understanding of production procedures and best practices.
• Excellent knowledge of safety methods and hazard regulations.
• Ability to read manuals, blueprints, and handbooks.
• Good physical stamina and keen attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all equipment on the line is operated correctly and efficiently, performing frontline maintenance.
• Set up and maintain machines at start and during production.
• Investigate downtime and drive corrective actions via SIC reviews and PPM systems.
• Identify and resolve machine issues promptly to minimise delays.
• Strive to keep waste to a minimum and reduce waste levels.
• Oversee line activity to ensure smooth running and correct pace.
