Job summary

Greencore Group is hiring at the Manton Wood site in Worksop for a manufacturing role. The position runs Wednesday to Saturday, 17:00–05:00, with a pay rate of £16.95 per hour. Overtime is paid at 1.25x after 48 hours.

The site features a gym, staff canteen, and other facilities, supporting a large manufacturing workforce. Key responsibilities include machine setup, downtime reduction, waste minimisation, and adherence to Food Safety, HACCP and hygiene standards across the line.

Qualifications

• Experience with industrial machinery on manufacturing lines.
• Knowledge of heavy duty/high-speed machinery best practices.
• Ability to use measurement tools accurately.
• Understanding of production procedures and efficiency.
• Strong knowledge of safety methods and hazard regulations.
• Ability to read manuals, blueprints and handbooks.
• Good physical stamina and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain line equipment to ensure optimal performance and product quality.
• Set up and maintain machines at start and during runs.
• Investigate downtime and implement corrective actions via SIC reviews and PPM systems.
• Identify and resolve machine issues promptly.
• Minimise waste and work to reduce it.
• Oversee line activity to maintain correct pace.
• Complete machine paperwork for Health and Safety checks.
• Clean and maintain machinery and work areas to high standards.
• Understand site Food Safety, HACCP, QA and Hygiene standards and perform safety checks as required.
• Keep abreast of equipment changes and cascade to the team.
