Job summary

Care Concern Group is seeking a dedicated Senior Support Worker for Vane Hill Care Home in Torquay. You will take a lead role in delivering person-centred care to residents with complex health needs, ensuring safe and high-quality service.

You will oversee medication, support care plans, and guide the team to maintain a calm, well-organised environment across shifts. Experience in care leadership is essential and a calm, compassionate approach is expected.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care, or willingness to work towards.
• Medication training and competency in administration.
• Experience supporting or leading within a care environment.
• Strong leadership and organisational skills.
• A calm, reliable and compassionate approach.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate care delivery on your shift within a specialist complex care setting.
• Oversee medication administration and ensure care plans are followed.
• Maintain accurate, up-to-date records and contribute to effective communication within the team.
