Job summary

Coactive Care Ltd in Exminster is seeking a dedicated Senior Waking Night Health Care/Support Assistant for Spurfield House. You will lead night-time care, ensure safe, dignified support, and coordinate with Heads of Care to meet residents' needs with independence and choice.

You'll supervise, administer medications, and support personal care while promoting safety and high-quality care across the night shift. The role offers enhanced pay and development opportunities within a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Right to live and work in the UK.
• Enhanced DBS check.
• Two positive references.
• Level 3 Diploma in Health & Social Care (or willing to work towards).
• Experience in complex care environments preferred.
• Ability to mentor night staff and support the team.

Responsibilities

• Oversee safe administration of night-time medications.
• Mentor and support waking night care team through supervision and hands-on guidance.
• Carry out regular staff supervisions and team meetings.
• Support residents with personal care, routines and getting ready for bed/morning wake-up.
• Manage night shift to meet CQC and health and safety standards.
• Record accurate night checks and maintain careful documentation.
• Keep resident rooms clean, tidy and safe overnight.
• Perform domestic tasks and assist with breakfast preparation.
