Job summary

Hill Care in the United Kingdom is seeking a compassionate Senior Care Assistant to join the Nights team to provide high-quality care to residents in a care home setting.

You will supervise junior staff, develop and implement personalised care plans with healthcare professionals and families, and maintain accurate records while ensuring health and safety standards. Strong communication with residents, families, and the care team is essential to ensure continuous, quality care.

Qualifications

• Senior care experience of at least 1 year is essential.
• NVQ Level 2 Health & Social Care is required.
• Level 3 Health & Social care qualification or working towards is preferred.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are crucial.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with daily living activities with dignity and comfort.
• Develop and implement individualised care plans with healthcare professionals and families.
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, and the care team to ensure continuity of care.
• Supervise and support junior staff, providing guidance and leadership to enhance team performance.
• Maintain accurate records of residents' progress and changes in their condition.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the care home.
• Participate in training sessions to stay updated on best practices in Residential and Nursing care.
• Administer medication to residents.
