Care Concern Group is seeking a dedicated Senior Support Worker for Vane Hill Care Home in Torquay. You will take a lead role in delivering person-centred care to residents with complex health needs, ensuring safe and high-quality service.
You will oversee medication, support care plans, and guide the team to maintain a calm, well-organised environment across shifts. Experience in care leadership is essential and a calm, compassionate approach is expected.
Vane Hill Care Home is a specialist service in Torquay, set across two Victorian houses overlooking Torbay. The home provides structured, enablement focused support for adults living with mental health conditions, including Korsakoff’s syndrome and Alcohol-Related Brain Damage, promoting independence, stability and wellbeing.
As a Senior Support Worker, you will take a lead role in delivering high quality, person centred care within a specialist complex care setting, supporting individuals with a range of complex physical and mental health needs.
You will take responsibility for the smooth running of your shift, providing clear direction and support to the team to ensure care is delivered safely, consistently and to a high standard. Alongside providing hands on support, you will respond to changing needs, incidents or concerns, maintaining a calm and well managed environment at all times.
You will oversee medication administration, ensure care plans are followed correctly and maintain accurate and up to date records. Working closely with the wider team, you will support effective communication and contribute to a structured, professional and consistent approach to care.
This role requires a confident, organised and resilient individual who can support both residents and staff within a complex care environment.
