Bridge Oak Care Homes is hiring a Senior Care Assistant for night shifts at The Denby in Denby Dale, West Yorkshire. This permanent, full-time role involves 44 hours per week with alternate weekends, at a pay rate of £13.85 per hour. You’ll join a friendly team delivering compassionate, person-centred care in a welcoming home.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent is required.
• Previous experience in a similar Senior Care Assistant role.
• Willingness to work nights and alternate weekends.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Support residents with daily living while ensuring dignity and comfort.
• Train and supervise junior staff under senior supervision.
• Assist with physical, emotional and spiritual care needs.
• Assist residents with mobility and use of aids.
• Monitor residents who are confused or have behavioural issues.
• Support continence and end-of-life care as required.
• Complete care plans and daily written records.
• Encourage social activities and resident hobbies.
• Answer nurse call system, doors, and phone; relay messages.
• Liaise with GPs and Support Managers about residents' wellbeing.
