Nightingale Care Home in Dungannon welcomes applications for a Senior Care Assistant to lead shifts and support the care team in delivering personalised care. The home sits in a scenic area with easy access to transport links and features 34 General Nursing beds and 10 General Residential beds to meet residents’ needs.

Qualifications

• Experience in senior care leadership roles.
• Proven ability to manage medications.
• Experience delivering person-centred care.
• Ability to work shifts including evenings/nights.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care and support to residents with activities of daily living, including personal care and mobility per care plans and resident preferences.
• Observe and monitor residents’ wellbeing, referring unusual physical, mental or emotional changes to senior staff and documenting as appropriate.
• Allocate and monitor workload for care assistants.
• Develop and maintain professional relationships with residents, colleagues and visitors; respond promptly to requests and inquiries.
• Take responsibility for administration and management of medication, audits and storage per regulatory requirements.
• Undertake other duties as designated by the Home Manager.
