Job summary

Salutem Care & Education is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our 24/7 care services in Cardiff. You will deliver high-quality nursing and general care, promote independence, wellbeing and dignity, and practice safely in line with the NMC Code.

You will work across teams in a three-day, 12.5-hour night shift pattern, providing medication management, safeguarding, and person-centred care with support from a multidisciplinary team. A full driving licence is desirable.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse qualification with active NMC registration.
• Knowledge of the NMC Code and legislation relating to disability, mental health, or physical health needs.
• Experience supporting vulnerable adults in residential, day service, youth work, or similar environments.
• Strong communication and relationship building skills.
• Ability to reflect on practice and work effectively within a team.
• Flexibility to work shifts including weekends, bank holidays, and sleep-ins.
• A full driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate across teams to support Salutem's strategic goals.
• Deliver outstanding customer service and follow quality frameworks.
• Follow organisational policies and procedures.
• Maintain professional development aligned with NMC standards.
• Administer and manage medications safely.
• Provide evidence-based clinical care including catheterisation, PEG/tracheostomy, and NG care.
• Uphold safeguarding for children and adults.
• Maintain accurate records in line with NMC and data protection.
• Support supervision, mentoring and development of staff.
• Promote health, safety, infection control and risk management.
• Build relationships with residents, families and multidisciplinary teams.
• Deliver person-centred care planning and transition management.
• Participate in supervision, audits, training and service improvement.
• Support recruitment, induction and staff meetings.
