Job summary

The Sterling Choice is recruiting a Night Shift Production Manager in Lancashire. You will own the night shift operations, lead production teams and ensure safety, quality and efficiency targets are met in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment.

This role offers a £55,000 base plus a night shift allowance bringing total earnings to around £60,000–£65,000, with Monday to Friday, 10pm–6am. You’ll drive improvements, coach staff and balance hands-on leadership with strategic oversight.

Qualifications

• Experience managing production teams within food manufacturing is essential.
• Able to balance hands-on work with strategic operation leadership.
• Experience in high-volume food manufacturing, ideally supplying major UK retailers.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of the night shift operation and ensure targets are met safely and efficiently.
• Lead, coach and develop teams, building a culture of accountability and high standards.
• Make decisions and resolve operational issues without constant direction.
• Drive improvements in efficiency, waste, downtime and overall production performance.
• Ensure food safety, quality, hygiene and health and safety standards are maintained.
• Manage labour, absence, training and people performance across the shift.
