Job summary

The Sterling Choice is seeking an experienced Production Shift Manager for a North Yorkshire food manufacturer. You will lead production teams, ensure clear direction, and drive daily outputs with a focus on consistency and continuous improvement.

Reporting to the Production Manager, you’ll manage staffing, production performance, waste and costs, using data to inform decisions while staying visible on the factory floor. Salary circa £45,000 with benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience of managing production teams, ideally in food manufacturing.
• Ability to analyse production data and respond to issues on shift.
• Strong people skills to guide and develop line leaders.

Responsibilities

• Lead production teams and line managers on shift with clear direction.
• Be visible on the factory floor and tackle issues as they arise.
• Own staffing, production performance, waste, costs and standards.
• Collaborate with the Production Manager to optimise the operation.
