Job summary

Trelleborg Sealing Solutions in Rotherham is seeking a Night Shift Supervisor to lead the night team across Wrapping, Machining and Strip operations. Reporting to the Production Manager, you will oversee ~10 staff, promote safety, quality, and timely delivery while developing the team.

The role focuses on planning workloads, driving continuous improvement, and ensuring high standards of health and safety in a fast-paced manufacturing environment at our Rotherham site.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising manufacturing teams in a fast-paced setting.
• Strong knowledge of machining operations and associated production challenges.
• Understanding of quality standards and continuous improvement practices (OEE, on-time delivery).
• Ability to lead safety-focused culture and drive problem-solving initiatives.
• Proficient in communication and team development, with literacy in production systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead and motivate the night shift across Wrapping, Machining and Strip to meet targets.
• Ensure machining activities follow safety, quality, and process standards.
• Plan workloads and review output for efficiency and adherence to schedule.
• Support root-cause analysis and CI initiatives within machining.
• Foster a safety-first culture and develop employee competencies.
