Job summary

Elevation Recruitment Group are partnering with a well-established manufacturing business in Rotherham to recruit a Night Shift Supervisor.

You’ll lead a team of circa 10 employees across the night shift, coordinating machining and production to hit safety, quality, delivery and efficiency targets.

This permanent night role (Sunday-Thursday) offers hands-on leadership with real ownership of the shift and scope to drive continuous improvement across the operation.

Elevation Recruitment Group are working with a well-established manufacturing business in Rotherham to recruit a Night Shift Supervisor.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced Team Leader or Supervisor who enjoys being hands-on within a manufacturing environment and wants to take ownership of a night shift operation.

You’ll be responsible for leading the night shift across a number of production areas, including machining, ensuring the team delivers against Safety, Quality, Delivery and Efficiency targets.

Key responsibilities of the Night Shift Supervisor include:

• Lead and supervise a team of approximately 10 employees across the night shift
• Plan, schedule and review workloads to ensure production and on-time delivery targets are achieved
• Monitor daily production performance and report against agreed KPIs
• Drive improvements across Quality, OTD and OEE
• Monitor product quality and take corrective action where required
• Champion a strong safety-first culture, ensuring H&S procedures are consistently followed
• Support continuous improvement activity across the operation
• Develop, coach and motivate employees to improve individual and team performance
• Maintain training and competency levels across the department
• Work closely with Maintenance, Planning, Quality, R&D, Purchasing and HR

We’re keen to speak to experienced Night Shift Supervisors with the following skills & experience:

• Previous experience leading or supervising a team within manufacturing
• A hands-on leadership style and the confidence to take ownership of a shift
• Experience working within machining, engineering or a production environment
• Strong problem-solving and root cause analysis skills
• An understanding of manufacturing KPIs such as OEE, productivity, quality and on-time delivery
• Knowledge of continuous improvement, TPM or preventative maintenance would be beneficial
• Good IT skills, including Excel and production reporting
• The ability to motivate, engage and develop a team
• A positive, proactive and organised approach
• Confidence and proven ability to lead a shift unsupervised
