Job summary

Manpower (United Kingdom) is seeking a Nights Team Leader for a busy powder coatings operation in Farnham. You will lead a team of Operators on a night shift (10pm–6am), coordinating tasks, maintaining safety, quality, and productivity, and supporting daily production targets.

The role requires hands-on leadership, strong communication, and a solid track record in manufacturing supervision. Immediate start and rotating shifts are part of the package.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a Team Leader, Supervisor, or senior production role within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Hands-on approach with the ability to motivate and support a team.
• Good problem-solving and organisational skills.
• Strong understanding of health and safety requirements within manufacturing.
• Committed to maintaining high standards of quality and productivity.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support a team of Operators to achieve daily production targets
• Allocate labour and delegate tasks effectively across the shift
• Provide clear instructions and guidance to team members
• Conduct shift handovers and communicate key information between shifts
• Report maintenance issues promptly to the Engineering team
• Monitor production performance and resolve operational issues as they arise
• Ensure all health & safety procedures and company policies are followed
• Maintain high standards of housekeeping across the production area
• Support and develop team members through coaching, mentoring, and training
• Identify training needs and assist in workforce development
• Provide regular feedback and updates to management
• Ensure quality control checks and product specifications are consistently met
