Job summary

Rayner in Worthing, West Sussex, is seeking a reliable Production Technician for our Hydrophobic department to produce high-quality intraocular lenses. This hands-on role requires precision, meticulousness and the ability to follow SOPs in a clean manufacturing environment.

You will work 12-hour shifts (7pm–7am) on a 4 on/4 off cycle in a full-time, permanent position with a salary of £31,783 including shift allowance.

Qualifications

• Experience in a laboratory or cleanroom environment is desirable.
• Exceptional attention to detail and manual dexterity are essential.
• Ability to follow detailed written instructions and SOPs.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and fill moulds with polymer before exposure.
• Cure lenses using cold and hot wash machines.
• Process lenses through vacuum oven to stabilise and complete manufacturing.
• Measure, inspect and sort lenses into correct power categories.
• Operate production machinery safely and efficiently.
• Follow SOPs and training provided by experienced technicians.
• Complete batch documentation and process records accurately.
