The position involves coating work, operating coating machinery, and performing routine maintenance while ensuring strict adherence to safety and quality standards. You will be part of a global leader in optical technology, with a supportive team environment and full training provided.

Responsibilities

• Coat optical lenses in line with quality standards.
• Operate and monitor coating machinery (about 20% of duties).
• Perform manual tasks on the production line (about 80% of duties).
• Inspect products for quality and accuracy.
• Complete daily/weekly/monthly cleaning tasks and checks.
• Perform basic machine maintenance and calibration.

HOYA Lens UK is seeking a reliable and detail-focused Production Operative to join our lens coating team. This hands-on role combines machine operation with manual processes to support the production of high-quality optical lenses.

Key Responsibilities

• Coating of optical lenses in line with quality standards
• Operating machinery (approximately 20% of the role)
• Performing manual tasks (approximately 80% of the role)
• Inspecting products to ensure quality and accuracy
• Completing daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning tasks
• Carrying out basic machine maintenance and calibration
• Performing daily equipment and process checks
• Understanding and working towards key performance indicators (KPIs)
• Complying with all company rules, procedures, and health & safety regulations

Skills And Qualifications

Shift patterns

Shift patterns we are looking for include rotating Monday - Friday 10pm-6am and Tuesday- Saturday 6am-2pm.
