Job summary

Biogen UK is seeking a Night Shift Plant Maintenance Engineer to support the Site Manager in safe operations, PM systems, and planned downtime for equipment overhauls. The role requires electrical or mechanical engineering qualifications with process-industry exposure; PLC/electronics experience is a plus, and in-house WAMITAB and NEBOSH training are provided if needed.

Initially day shifts during training, progressing to a Tuesday–Friday night shift from 19:30 to 06:00.

Qualifications

• Qualified in electrical or mechanical engineering with related process industry experience.
• Experience with PLC controls or electronics is advantageous.
• Training to achieve in-house WAMITAB competency standards and NEBOSH certificate offered if needed.

Responsibilities

• Support Site Manager with safe operation of the site and PM (PPM) system.
• Oversee planned downtime of key equipment for safe, cost-effective overhauls.
• Follow procedures, manage costs, and work within budgets; adapt to changing circumstances.
