Job description
Overview

CSS Recruitment and Training are looking for a Night Shift Supervisor in Colchester, Essex.

Working hours are Monday - Thursday 6pm - 6am.

Details

Breaks: A hour in total throughout the evening, 30 minutes paid, 30 minutes unpaid.

Holiday entitlement: 22 days (inclusive of bank holidays)

There is availability to do and extra shift on the day shift at the weekends, working 7am - 2pm - paid at overtime rate.

All PPE and face coverings will be provided if required.

Responsibilities
  • Ensuring the smooth running of production on the shop floor.Be open about ideas and suggestions.
  • Co-ordinating line operations within the packhouse
  • Ensure all staff have the correct training for their job role (new and existing employees)
  • Daily cleaning and hygiene standards to be maintained
  • Report production performance to the Packhouse Manager
  • Ensure all documentation is completed correctly and full details recorded, advise if more training is required.
  • Documentation reviews
  • Competency reviews
  • Ensure Quality assurance is maintained throughout the process to meet customer standards
  • Assist in all aspects on shop floor level (Training & compliance supervisor/People Supervisor.)
  • Be part of a team working to a schedule to ensure GMP'S are being followed
  • Maintain open communication with all departments
  • Identify and recommend potentials for promotion
  • Attend and participate fully in meetings. (General/H&S/Food safety/production efficiency/Quality, etc)
  • Recommend areas of improvement
  • Perform all duties as required consistent with training, authority and experience
  • Work in a safe way being aware of H&S and the H&S of others
  • Production projects - working with a team to create or implement new systems/ways of working/identifying areas of improvement
  • Be available to assist in all types of Audits.
  • Any reasonable task requested by management
