Pioneer Selection Ltd is seeking a Night Shift Maintenance Engineer for a large-scale automated manufacturing facility in Basildon. You will join a small night team delivering planned, preventative and reactive maintenance across complex production lines to maximise reliability and OEE.

The role offers a £52,634 salary, nights (10pm–6am, Mon–Fri with flexibility), and opportunities for overtime, training, and progression in a COMAH-regulated environment.

Qualifications

Job Role of the Night Shift Maintenance Engineer

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Night Shift Maintenance Engineer to join a large-scale, highly automated manufacturing facility within a globally recognised organisation. This site has recently seen significant investment and offers a modern, open-plan production environment with excellent long-term career prospects.

Working as part of a small, skilled night engineering team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality planned, preventative, and reactive maintenance across complex production lines. This is a key role focused on maximising equipment reliability, reducing downtime, and improving overall equipment effectiveness (OEE).

The site operates advanced, high-speed processes including chemical handling, heating, and precision manufacturing, offering engineers exposure to specialist equipment within a COMAH-regulated environment.

Non-Negotiable Requirements of the Night Shift Maintenance Engineer

• Maintenance experience within a manufacturing or forces background


• Level 3 in Engineering or above

Requirements for the Night Shift Maintenance Engineer

• Experience with PPM systems and continuous improvement


• Understanding of Health & Safety regulations within manufacturing


• Engineering qualification (apprentice trained or equivalent)
