Job summary

Tesco UK is hiring a Shift Lead for night shifts to motivate and guide store colleagues, ensuring a great customer experience. You will act as the go-to person for daily operations, coach teammates, and lead in the manager's absence.

Roles offer a minimum of 16 hours per week, with some locations offering 12 hours. Pay starts at £15.59 per hour, rising to £16.86 in stores within the M25. Night hours (midnight–6am) receive an additional £2.35 per hour.

Qualifications

• Experience in a team lead or management position in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Be a strong role model with a passion for delivering great service.
• Clear communicator with ability to keep the team informed.

Responsibilities

• Leading the team to deliver a great in-store experience for customers.
• Working across all areas of the store and with colleagues as the go-to person for daily operational queries.
• Coaching colleagues, giving feedback and role modelling great service.
• Confidently leading the store in the Manager’s absence.
• Making balanced, flexible decisions and adapting well to change.
