Job summary

Treatt is seeking a Shift Lead - nights (6-month fixed term) in Bury St. Edmunds to manage night production shifts, ensure safety and efficiency, and support production planning. You will report to the Manufacturing Manager and lead a team to meet OTIF targets while upholding GMP and BRC compliance.

The role emphasises continuous improvement, toolbox talks, and effective communication across stakeholders to optimise labour and equipment usage with a strong safety culture.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership experience.
• An understanding of BRC and Customer Quality Standards.
• Knowledge of working within a LEAN environment.
• Be competent in computer operation and produce reports, use email and enter data as required (including the use of JDE system).
• Proven production experience which demonstrates the ability to deliver a production plan effectively.

Responsibilities

• Operate to the Company’s Environment, Health, Safety, Security and Quality Standards.
• Report accurately on the daily progress of production to the Production Manager, including delays and causes.
• Lead a right first time policy and ensure orders are met on time and within specification.
• Oversee stock movement, closing of works orders and good inventory control.
• Ensure 100% Plan vs Actual and full utilisation of operators.
• Lead safety, toolbox talks and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Maintain GMP & BRC compliance and conduct risk assessments and incident reporting.
