Job summary

Equals One Ltd, Harrogate, is seeking a Lead Driver / Transport Supervisor for our bakery delivery operation. This hands-on role involves driving routes and coordinating a small driver team across eight vans, with a four-day week and night work from midnight to 10am, Wednesday to Saturday.

The role combines frontline driving with team leadership, route planning, and fleet coordination, ensuring on-time deliveries and safe vehicle operation.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence.
• Experience supervising, supporting or coordinating other drivers or an operational team.
• Experience with delivery routes, schedules or dispatch.
• Willingness to work night and early-morning hours.

Responsibilities

• Regularly complete delivery routes yourself.
• Lead and support the driver team daily.
• Coordinate daily deliveries and dispatching drivers.
• Plan routes and allocate drivers and vehicles.
• Work with the team to pack products in the first part of the shift.
• Maintain delivery and vehicle records.
• Liaise with customers regarding deliveries.
