Job summary

Paul Rhodes Bakery in Greenwich, London, is seeking a Transport Supervisor for night shift (11:00pm–08:00am), five days a week, with rotating weekends. You will coordinate drivers, ensure on-time deliveries, and uphold safety and quality standards.

Reporting to the Transport Manager, you will manage workloads, liaise with Packing and Customer Service, conduct return-to-work interviews, and enforce company policies in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1+ year experience as a Transport Supervisor, managing drivers.
• Experience in fast-paced multi-drop deliveries, preferably in London.
• Manual 3.5T van driving experience.
• Knowledge of transport legislation and incident reporting.
• Clean driving licence preferable, or <=3 points.
• IT literate and able to learn new systems.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate drivers to meet targets and schedules.
• Maintain quality standards across delivery stages.
• Ensure compliance with transport legislation and company policy.
• Be first point of contact for staff inquiries.
• Liaise with Packing to load vans accurately and on time.
• Enforce company policies and maintain a safe work environment.
• Work with Customer Service to improve satisfaction.
• Conduct return-to-work interviews as required.
