Job summary

CrossReach Trading Ltd. is seeking a Lead Children’s Worker for our night-time short-break service in Springburn, Glasgow. You will lead the overnight shift, ensure high standards of care, and support children with disabilities to stay safe and confident during the night.

The role requires a SVQ 3 in Social Care (Children) or equivalent, and registration with PVG and SSSC. Female applicants only due to policy, with a supportive benefits package including pension and health plans.

Qualifications

• SVQ 3 in Social Care (Children) or equivalent
• Experience with children, including those with additional support needs
• Ability to remain calm and focused during night shifts

Responsibilities

• Lead the overnight shift, coordinate colleagues and allocate responsibilities
• Provide personal care respectfully (toileting, dressing, eating, hygiene)
• Run the overnight respite centre when senior staff are absent
• Follow care plans and risk assessments for safe, consistent support
• Administer medication per care plans and procedures
• Support mobility and safety of children, maintaining dignity and wellbeing
• Communicate clearly with families, colleagues and professionals
