Job summary

CrossReach Scotland in Glasgow invites applications for a Lead Children’s Worker to cover night shifts at our Springburn respite service. You will lead the team, ensure a calm environment, and deliver care tailored to each child’s needs, including personal care and medication administration.

You will require SVQ 3 in Social Care with experience in children’s services, be PVG checked and SSSC registered, and be able to manage challenging situations while maintaining high care standards throughout

Qualifications

• SVQ3 in Social Care (Children) or equivalent, with experience caring for children.
• Comfortable supporting children with additional needs and challenging behaviour.
• Strong communication, teamwork and organisational skills.
• Must be a member of PVG Scheme and registered with SSSC.

Responsibilities

• Lead night shifts, coordinate team and allocate responsibilities.
• Provide personal care per individual care plans, including toileting, dressing, eating and hygiene.
• Oversee overnight respite centre in absence of Team Leader or Service Manager.
• Ensure children feel safe, settled and supported during their stay.
• Follow care plans and risk assessments, keep records accurate.
