Job summary

Avery Healthcare is seeking a warm, enthusiastic Housekeeping Assistant - Nights at Acer Court Care Home in Nuthall to join our caring team. You will work as part of a team, maintaining cleanliness and laundry standards according to our procedures.

The role requires knowledge of health and safety, moving and handling, COSHH, and prior experience in cleaning in public settings. You will be trusted to treat residents with dignity and respect and to cover additional duties as needed.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Health and Safety, particularly Moving and Handling techniques, Fire Safety and COSHH assessments.
• Experience of cleaning laundry in a public setting.
• Demonstrate compassion and commitment to the delivery of high-quality housekeeping/laundry service to residents.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out all cleaning duties in accordance with worksheet instructions.
• Understanding the cleaning requirements of different surfaces and coverings and the properties of cleaning materials, ensuring that all areas are well presented and maintained in good condition.
• Ensuring that all residents are treated with dignity and respect and that their personal space and belongings are always respected.
