Job summary

Gregory Distribution Ltd. is seeking an HGV Technician to join a well‑run workshop and keep our fleet safe, compliant, and road‑ready.

Based in a busy site, you will perform diagnostics, maintenance and repairs to a high standard using the latest equipment, in line with DVSA and manufacturer standards. The role requires NVQ Level 3 in Heavy Goods Maintenance or equivalent, with diagnostic skills desirable and a Class 1 licence preferred.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Heavy Goods Maintenance or equivalent.
• Diagnostic qualifications desirable.
• Valid Class 1 licence desirable; training can be provided.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose faults and carry out repairs on vehicles and trailers using the latest diagnostic tools.
• Service and maintain vehicles and trailers in line with DVSA and manufacturer standards.
• Complete all legal and compliance documentation accurately and within required timeframes.
• Follow best practice when carrying out repairs, component replacements, and final sign-off.
• Conduct Preventative Maintenance Inspections (PMIs) to DVSA standards.
• Work collaboratively within a professional workshop team to meet operational targets.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and well-organised working environment.
• Comply with all relevant Health & Safety regulations and industry legislation at all times.
