Thompson Commercials Ltd in Thirsk is looking for a skilled HGV Technician to conduct maintenance and repairs on heavy goods vehicles. The role involves diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical issues, performing repairs, and ensuring all work meets safety standards. Candidates should have strong mechanical knowledge and be proficient in using hand and power tools.

The position is full-time, with hours from Monday to Thursday (8pm-6.30am) and includes a competitive salary with opportunities for overtime and training on modern technologies.

Qualifications

• Experience in HGV maintenance and repair.
• Ability to fabricate parts as needed.
• Time-served Technicians also considered.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on HGVs.
• Diagnose faults and troubleshoot mechanical issues.
• Carry out electrical repairs and maintenance on HGVs.

Skills

Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in HGV maintenance and repair

Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment
