Job summary

Biffa Waste Services in Tipton is seeking an experienced HGV Technician to join our night shift team. You will maintain and repair vehicles and waste handling equipment, ensuring compliance with DVSA and health and safety standards.

The role covers a broad fleet from vans to 44t assets, with 19:00-07:00 shifts, 4 nights Mon-Thu, and a £20.59 per hour rate plus night shift allowance and a £10 weekly tool allowance. Overtime and call-out are available.

Qualifications

• Fully skilled with a level 3 HGV/PSV apprenticeship or City and Guilds/NVQ.
• Must hold a car/van driving licence; HGV licence desirable.
• IRTEC qualification desirable.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair vehicles and waste handling equipment to DVSA and health and safety standards.
• Carry out scheduled preventative service and maintenance inspections.
• Work on a diverse fleet from light vans to 44t assets and develop technical knowledge.
