Job summary

Biffa is seeking an HGV Technician to maintain and repair our diverse fleet, from light vans to 44t assets, ensuring compliance with DVSA and health and safety standards. The role covers preventative services, diagnostics, and responsive repairs, contributing to the reliability of the nation’s waste-collection fleet.

You should have a Level 3 HGV/PSV qualification and a valid driving licence; HGV licence and IRTEC are desirable.

Qualifications

• Full level 3 HGV/PSV apprenticeship qualification required.
• Car/van driving licence required; HGV licence desirable.
• IRTEC qualification desirable.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair vehicles and waste management handling equipment to meet health and safety laws and DVSA rules.
• Perform scheduled preventative service and maintenance inspections for operator’s licence commitments.
