Job summary

Recreo Global in the Sheffield area is seeking an experienced Night Shift Supervisor to lead a skilled fabrication team on a busy shop floor. You will ensure safe, organized operations and on-schedule production during the night shift.

Ideal candidates will come from welding, fabrication or heavy engineering, with proven people management skills and a hands-on approach to quality and continuous improvement. This permanent role offers ownership of a shift and real impact on output.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising a fabrication or manufacturing team.
• Strong practical knowledge of welding and fabrication processes.
• Experience reading and working from engineering drawings.
• Ability to coach and develop shopfloor staff.
• Excellent organisation and problem-solving abilities.
• Hands-on management style with attention to quality and output.
• Ability to make decisions independently on night shift.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate welders and fabricators on night shift.
• Allocate work and monitor progress throughout the shift.
• Ensure components are made to drawings and specs.
• Maintain high standards of quality, safety and workmanship.
• Identify bottlenecks and resolve production issues.
• Support and develop shopfloor team members.
• Ensure smooth handovers between night and day shifts.
• Communicate progress, labour needs and issues to management.
• Maintain housekeeping and safe working practices.
• Drive continuous improvement across production.
