Job summary

Bury, Greater Manchester-based steel fabrication role requires time served fabricators/platers to read engineer drawings and set up jobs. You will mark out for jigs, use hand tools and burning equipment, and work solo or in a team on complex fabrications.

Shifts are nights (7pm–4:45am), four nights weekly with overtime on Fridays–Sundays. Permanent long-term positions with health and safety at work are emphasized.

Qualifications

• Time served steel fabricator/plater required.
• NVQ 3 or apprenticeship completed.
• Able to read and work from engineers drawings.

Responsibilities

• Work from technical drawings to set up and mark out for jigs.
• Use hand tools and burning equipment as required.
• Work well either alone or as part of a team.
• Adhere to health and safety practices at all times.
