Job summary

Hunter Selection Ltd currently seeks a maintenance engineer for a night shift role (Sunday-Thursday, 10pm-6am) to support production equipment and site services. You will be involved in electrical and mechanical repairs, PMs, and machine upgrades within a fast-paced FMCG environment.

The ideal candidate is electrically biased, time-served or apprenticeship-trained, with 17th/18th Edition and PLC fault-finding experience, and capable of working as the sole engineer on nights.

Qualifications

• Must be electrically biased and time-served with electrical & mechanical qualifications.
• Experience in FMCG or packaging manufacturing is required.
• 17th/18th Edition Electrical regulations knowledge.
• Electrical testing and inspection experience essential.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Comfortable as the sole engineer on night shifts.
• Strong problem-solving and fault-finding skills in electrical & mechanical domains.
• Experience with PLC electrical fault finding and CI projects.

Responsibilities

Do you want to work for a leading manufacturer that has been established the local area for a number of years. Due to site investment and development, they are looking for an experienced night shift engineer to join their close knit team.

Role & responsibilities of a maintenance engineer:

• Provide electrical & mechanical support & repairs for all production equipment & site services
• Supporting with project work – new machine & production line installs
• PPM’s, electrical & mechanical fault finding, problem solving, machine upgrades

Knowledge, skills & experience need to be a maintenance engineer:

• Must be an electrically biased engineer
• Apprenticeship trained or a time-served engineering with electrical & mechanical qualifications
• Previously worked in FMCG or packaging manufacturing
• 17 th / 18 th Edition Electrical
• Electrical testing & inspection experience
• Able to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Comfortable working as sole engineer on nights
• Strong electrical & mechanical fault finding & problem solving skills
• PLC – electrical fault finding
• Experience of carrying out CI projects, new machine installations
